The mission of the CBA is to contribute to the financial stability and the economic well-being of the Aruban community. We accomplish this by implementing an effective monetary policy aimed towards maintaining the fixed exchange rate of the Aruban florin against the U.S. dollar, by promoting the financial soundness and integrity of the financial system, and by fostering efficient and reliable payment systems. Other core tasks include issuing Aruban florin banknotes and florin coins, acting as the banker to the Government of Aruba, regulating the flow of international payments, managing the available foreign exchange reserves of Aruba, and supervising the spending hereof.
